SHARING OUR VISION
Helping elect candidates/working to advocate for and pass federal legislation
Buck Humphrey has managed and was the State Director for two state-wide presidential campaigns: Al Gore in 2000 and Hillary Clinton in 2008. Buck has also consulted for and managed congressional, state and local candidate races and initiatives, including running multiple political committees. Midwest Strategies also works with our partners at Forbes Tate and other Washington, DC and Midwest-based firms on public affairs and campaign projects.
Our candidate support includes developing initial strategic planning, as well as creating lists of priorities and tactics to be used to win in a particular political and media environment. For example, we’ve worked with clients, campaigns and candidates to identify key grass-top champions and opinion leaders in Minnesota and the upper Midwest to identity credible voices in support of project goals. We employ a variety of tactics, including earned media, ongoing social media content, paid advertisements, political leadership meetings, real-time dialogue, ally coalition building and others. And then we put people and organizations to work for you.
